Insightful considerations into hull form, principal dimensions, structural scantlings, stability performances, passenger cabin arrangements, endurance, operating speed, maneuvering characteristics, etc are taken into account during conceptual design stage so that the vessel may switch from one service to another with only minor modifications. And the whole design spiral process is completed with the aim of fulfilling “multi-purpose” functions.
